An otherworldly force descends on an abandoned farm in 1970s Maine where a child is being hidden from what comes knocking in the night.

During Maine’s ruthless Indian Adoption program in 1975, a Mi’kmaq woman hides a child on an abandoned farm in Maine. Generations later, their descendants use a remote viewing method known as the ‘forerunning’ to tap into the minds of their ancestors and enter their world. As the farm is raided, the descendants intervene in an attempt to save the child and alter history.

FORERUNNER is a stand alone proof of concept short I wrote and developed with the support of the Sundance Institute Indigenous program. The proof of concept was made to support the ongoing development of my feature film of the same name.
This film is currently in submission for premiere. Please reach out if you would like to learn more about the story or feature development.
